How does Crossbeam verify Certificates of Insurance?
Each uploaded COI is parsed automatically — coverage types, limits, expiration dates, and named insureds are extracted and checked against your project requirements. Anything missing or expired surfaces in the Command Center for review.
Can I import existing subcontractors from Procore?
Yes. Connect Procore in one click and Crossbeam pulls your active jobs and subcontractor list, matches existing records, and starts tracking compliance immediately. No CSV import or manual setup required.
How long does setup take?
Most teams are operational in under a day. Connect your data source, define your compliance rules, and Crossbeam starts requesting and verifying COIs from your subs and their insurance agents the same afternoon.
Do my subcontractors need an account?
Yes — subcontractors create a free, permanent account that works across every general contractor using Crossbeam. They upload documents once and reuse them everywhere.
What insurance documents does Crossbeam track?
Certificates of Insurance, additional insured endorsements, waivers of subrogation, primary/non-contributory endorsements, W-9s, and any custom document type you require. Each document is linked to the subcontractor and the relevant projects.
How are coverage limits validated?
You define minimum limits per coverage type — General Liability, Auto, Workers' Comp, Umbrella, etc. Crossbeam compares the extracted policy limits against your rules and flags any gaps before the sub is approved for a project.
Can I set custom compliance rules per project?
Yes. Default rules apply to every project, and you can override them per-project for higher-risk work — bumping GL minimums, requiring specific endorsements, or extending notice-of-cancellation requirements.
Which platforms does Crossbeam integrate with?
Procore for job and subcontractor sync, QuickBooks for vendor and payment data, and inbound email so you can forward any COI directly into Crossbeam from your existing inbox. Custom integrations are available on Enterprise — contact us about your stack.
Does Crossbeam push compliance status back to Procore?
Yes. As subs become compliant or fall out of compliance, status flows back to the linked Procore vendor record so your Procore reports stay accurate without double entry.
Can I export data to my accounting system?
Compliant-vendor lists can be exported as CSV or pushed to QuickBooks, so payment holds and approvals stay in sync between your compliance and AP teams.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing scales with active subcontractors and the features you turn on — no per-seat charges. Use the in-app estimator to see your monthly cost before you commit, or contact sales for enterprise volume.
Are there setup fees?
No. Setup, onboarding support, and Procore connection are included in every plan. Pay only for the active vendors you track.
Can I add features later?
Yes. Three add-ons are available: Automated Compliance Checking (live today, included on Growth and Enterprise), Automated AI phone calling (coming soon), and Automated insurance credit-rating checking (coming soon). Toggle them on at any time — billing prorates automatically.
How does annual billing work?
Annual plans and add-ons get a 10% discount versus paying month-to-month, billed up front.
How is my data secured?
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Documents are encrypted at rest using FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography, with private access controls and per-tenant isolation enforced at the database level.
Who can access my subcontractor documents?
Access is scoped to your organization with role-based permissions. Only users you invite can see your data, and every action is logged for audit.
What support is included?
Every plan includes email support with a same-business-day response. Pro and Enterprise plans add a dedicated onboarding specialist and priority response targets.
Is there onboarding training?
Yes. We walk your team through setup, compliance rule configuration, and Procore mapping in a live session — recorded and shared so new hires can ramp themselves up.
